Plot:

A haunted house with a horrible past that holds the deaths of many and is over a century old. Today a gentleman named Frederick (Price) rents the house for his odd wife Annabelle for one night as a "Haunted House Party" and invited five people to attend for 12 hours. If they make it through the night in the house on haunted hill each will earn ten thousand dollars. If they do not it is understood that their nextr of kin will get it. Each guest has a different reason for wanting to come and collect the money some are in financial need and others are doing it for alternative reasons.

Each arrives per the hosts request in a  hearse that might depart with their dead body. Once each guest has arrived the spooky and off the wall host greets them and provides each with a .45 caliber pistol for protection. The caretakers are then to leave the mansion for the night and lock the gate and all doors locked, windows have bars and no contact such as phones are around for use. So once each guest has fully decided to stay on for the night they are locked in and are stuck for the entire night until the caretakers arrive back at dawn with no neighbors for miles.

The guests find out that a murder has taken place in almost every room in the mansion. Shortly after being in the mansion one of the guests, Nora is already seeing ghosts, ghouls and the ghost of Annabelle (Carol Ohmart) who hung herself during this party and could not take it anymore. Later we see more murder and hysteria occur while each guest slowly gets scared and falls into the trap of the haunted house. Will everyone fall into the trap or will some make it out and see daylight and the other twists and turns happening throughout the evening! What a great Vincent Price film perfect for a good spook!
