The Leading Ladies of the 1950's! - That is right, we here at Love Those Classic Movies! (LTCM) are back at it once again; providing the best of the best from a new decade in focus - the 1950's!

These ladies you will truly embody the 1950's from their outstanding projects in this specific decade which due to their quality stand the test of time.

Let us hear from you on your thoughts, maybe you agree, disagree or have someone of worthy mention. It is a very difficult task at hand which is never taken lightly on our end. We will be publishing our "Leading Men of the 1950s" shortly along with other wonderful decades such as the 1960s, 1940's, 1930, 1920's and more! Now take a seat and have a read of whom we consider the true definition of a classic lady of the 1950s.

Knights of the Round Table (1953) "A Lady White"

Starring: Robert Taylor, Ava Gardner, Mel Ferrer, Anne Crawford & Stanley Baker



Plot:

It is the period where King Arthus (Ferrer) reigns supreme in Enlgand. During this time this land has never seen such great prosperity until now. The Knights of the Round Table are ever present to assist with this such as one leading force, Sir Lancelot (Taylor).

King Arthur to make his reign the best it possibly can be finds the beautiful Guinevere (Gardner) and weds. This union could not make King Arthus any more content: his lands are at peace, they are the strongest, have bountiful foods/warriors and everything in terms of wealth and now he is truly in love with his bride. Guinevere is in love with her betrothed though is also in love with Sir Lancelot.  Lancelot knows of this affections that she has and tries to fight it but also shares it for her.

Morgan le Fay (Crawford) is an evil woman who finds out that the couple is in love and is determined with her knight Sir Mordred (Baker) to trap the couple for the King to find and to have them be gone! The scheming and games are now beginning to occur from Sir Lancelot and Guinevere behind the King to now Lady Morgan le Fey working to destroy it all. The kingdom of Camelot and King Arthur are now in a fast decline due to these games being done are now effecting things in many areas.

King Arthur and England then are in broiled battle against Sir Mordred and his men. In turn Sir Lancelot and Sir Mordred enter into a battle to end them all which results in Mordred's death. Lancelot then after this epic battle goes to the round table and speaks to Percival (Gabriel Woolf) who sees the Holy Grail. This is a very well done MGM film shot in their British studios and partially on location in the U.K..

2011 Year In Review




2011 Year In Review!

Love Those Classic Movies!!! had an outstanding 2011 with highlighting great leading actresses, actors, costume designers, photographers, and topical themes. We also introcued this year new articles such as: "Classic Radioland," "Spotlight On" & our interview series.

We had fun bringing topics such as looking as Summer Films and Holiday Classics. This year also brought us our: "2nd Annual Classic Mr. & Mrs. Clause" who was the fantastic Robert Mitchum & Ginger Rogers.

Our interviews were started with a great kick-off featuring two hot actors/recording artists: Howard Tonkin & DiSanto Diaz. Both gentleman spoke about their acting background and their love for classic cinema - thank you gentlemen for your time and the great itnerviews!!



 We had a a terriffic special correspondent (Christina Stewart) who reported on the: "2011 TCM Classic Film Festvial." Christina gave us special inside information on the red carpet events, movie screenings, gala events and many other events. This we are looking to keep and expand with other special reporters clocking in with special articles from all over the world!!
