The aging Countess Elisabeth Nodosheen (Pitt) is a heartless woman in the medieval time period who cares nothing of her peasants well being that are in need of her help. The answer she provides is to spit at them and run them down as they equate her to "the devil woman" so not a friendly relationship.
The Countess along with her lover Dobi (Green) rule the land with an iron fist and cruelty. Upon getting ready for a bath a servant girl has the water too hot for the Countess who is very angry and cuts the young servant ladies face with blood falling upon the countesses cheek. When leaving the Countess calls over Dobi and her other maid and shows from what she sees in the mirror that the area with the young blood is gone young with youth. The countess demands the servant girl back and enters her room then the next day Dobi enters the main bedroom where the Countess looks stunning and in her young twenties again with a question: "where is the girl?" which never gets answered. All the countess knows is that she can dress youthful and be back to what she has been aching for which is her youthful beauty.
