Born in 1907 as Ruby Catherine Stevens in Brooklyn, NY. She passed away in CA at the age of 83 in 1990.

Barbara Stanwyck was nominated for 4 Oscars, Won 2 Golden Globes & 2 Emmy's. She was married twice, once to the actor Robert Taylor (divorced) & also to Frank Fay. This husky ...voiced dame is not to be reckoned with in her vast career of MANY STRONG women of silver screen.



~ Barbara was married twice, once to actor Robert Taylor from 1939 - 1952 which then they divored. Her first marriage was to Frank Fay which was from 1928- 1935 with one child.

  1. barbara was 82 when she died in january 1990. she was awarded an honorary oscar in 1981. one of the golden globes was the cecil b. demille award; not a "regular" golden globe. she won 3 emmy's, not 2, in 1961,1966,and 1983, for the "barbara stanwyck show" "the big valley" and "the thorn birds"
