In Memoriam: Joan Fontaine (1917 - 2013)
The beautifully talented Joan Fontaine past away on December 15th, 2013 in Carmel, CA at the age of 96. Joan Fontaine is an award winning actress receiving an Academy Award for her role in "Suspicion" along with "The New York Film Critics Award" for the same role.
Joan is a very accomplished actress whom appeared in a wide array of classic's from a tender heart in
"The Women" then a young devoted wife in "Rebecca" to a cunning and scheming woman in "Born to be Bad." Other classics Joan appeared are: "A Damsel in Distress" "Gunga Din" "This Above All" "The Constant Nymph" "Jane Eyre" "The Affairs of Susan" "Letter from an Unknown Woman" "The Emperor Waltz" "September Affair" "Ivanhoe" "Casanova's Big Night" and many other classics.
Joan also is the younger sister to actress Olivia de Havilland. This classic actress of the silver screen will be missed.
